The Intelligent Photonics & Electronics Laboratory (IPE Lab) is looking for two fully funded prospective students:

Ph.D. Position – Full funding available.
Master’s Position – Fully funded, with the possibility of upgrading to a Ph.D.

Research Area: 3D Monolithic Integration of Sensors with Neuromorphic and In-Material Processing DevicesThis research focuses on ultrafast, energy-efficient computing architectures for next-generation artificial intelligence, brain-inspired computing, and adaptive photonic-electronic systems.

Who Should Apply?

We are seeking highly motivated students with a background in materials science, physics, electrical engineering, or related fields, who are passionate about advancing neuromorphic computing and device physics.

Our research project, titled "센서내 시간적 처리와 장기 예측을 위한 고성능 저전력 광전 및 열전 멤리스터 소재 및 소자 개발," is funded by the National Research Foundation (NRF) under the Mid-career project.

Total Research Fund: 978,481,000 KRW
Research Focus: Development of high-performance, low-power optoelectronic and thermoelectric memristor materials and devices
Key Goal: Advancing in-sensor temporal processing and long-term forecasting technology
Funding Duration: 5 years (2023–2028)

Section Title50 Best Achievements

The research conducted by Professor Kumar Mohit of our school was selected as the '50 Best Achievements of the Ministry of Education's Academic and Research Support Project'. The Ministry of Education announced the final selection of 50 best achievements among the academic and research support projects created in 2022.
